Baptism

Baptisms are celebrated in Tynagh Church and Killeen Church. The day, date and time of a Baptismal ceremony can be arranged by contacting Fr Séamus (087) 2304493.

A Pre Baptismal Programme must be completed before the Baptismal Ceremony. The programme takes place in the Day Care Centre, Portumna on the second Tuesday of each month from 8.30 to 9.30pm.

Reconciliation

Picture
Confessions take placeon the first Friday of the month or by contacting the Fr. Séamus any time. Confessions also take place before Christmas and Easter in both churches.

​Confessions for our Primary Schools, take place twice yearly, before Christmas and Easter.   


First Holy Communion

First Holy Communion for second class pupils in both schools will take place on Saturday, 22nd April 2023 in St. Lawrence's Church, Tynagh.


CONfirmation

Picture
The next Confirmation for 5th and 6th class pupils from both schools will take place  in St. Lawrence's Church, Tynagh on 6th May 2023.


Marriage

Contact Fr. Séamus to book your Church Wedding. Three months notice must be given to the Church. Three months notice must also be given to the State Registrar of the area you are getting married in. Each person getting married will need a current Baptismal Certificate, Confirmation Certificate, Letter of Freedom and a Pre-Nuptial Enquiry Form completed by your priest.

A Pre-Marriage Course with Accord must also be booked.

​Housebound and sacrament of the sick

Those who are housebound or sick are visited on the first Friday of every month. The sacrament of the sick is administered twice a year and as needed by contacting Fr. Bohan.
